Recently, I set myself the challenge of exhibiting my work.
I decided to take part in a craft market under the beautiful arcade of Leadenhall Market. I had five months to weave new pieces, design and build the stand, create labels and packaging, figure out a payment system… all while working full time. It was an intense journey filled with many firsts — including designing a unique exhibit that would stand out among more than 90 other tables.
On the day itself, running on just five hours of sleep, my smile couldn’t have been bigger.
I had made it, and I was genuinely proud of the result.
As part of my setup, I included a loom, inviting people to learn the craft and contribute to a community weaving. This turned out to be my favourite part. I loved seeing the range of people eager to try weaving — their creation became a meaningful souvenir of the day, one I’ll always treasure.
